WATSON COMPANIES EXCEED GOAL AT 2014 TOYS FOR TOTS DONATION DRIVE
HOUSTON – Watson Grinding & Manufacturing, Watson Valve Services Inc. announce completion of 2014 Toys for Tots Donation Drive and Fundraiser. The donation goal of 200 toys was exceeded, with a final count of 292 toys.
The United States Marine Corps SSgt. Christopher Tinsman was in attendance at the Donation Ceremony to pick up the toys, which will be distributed to local children who qualify on December 19 & 20 at NRG Stadium. Last year, Toys for Tots collected more than 160,000 toys in the Greater Houston area alone.
The U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program mission is to collect new, unwrapped toys, and distribute them as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The goal is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate children that will help them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
